Dr. Lindsy Lawrence is a professor of English. She has published work on Elizabeth Gaskell, serial poetry publication, and Neo-Victorian themes in contemporary television series such as "Downton Abbey" and "Doctor Who." Her recent publications include a chapter on women poets in Blackwood’s Edinburgh Magazine in Women, Periodicals and Print Culture in Britain, 1830s-1900s: The Victorian Period (2019) and an essay on poetry in Belgravia and collaboration with undergraduate researchers. She teaches a variety of courses in cultural studies, digital humanities, and 18th- and 19th-century British literature. She is co-director of the Periodical Poetry Index.
